Just one cotton pickin' minute here!!!
Whoa! Now hold on everybody! What are y'all doing voting for #1 when the other two cruises are cheaper AND they go to the Bahamas or Caribbean????? I just re-read Bonnie's list of possibilities and if the flight is about the same to unheard of Galveston, as it is to main airport hub Miami (or the other one) then maybe we should do some rethinking. I've never been to the Caribbean (or the Bahamas for that matter) and I HAVE been to Mexico, yes the Cozumel Cancun side, lots of times, and likely to go several more since my Dad thinks that part of Mexico is the most wonderful place on earth and every other holiday will probably be down there. Let's all look again at the wonders of bringing along passports and going to an island with souvenirs that we can't find in Southern California!!

My vote
I don't really care...honestly. There is, of course, something insanely appealing about having the airfare included in the price (kudos to Heidi for finding that deal)...then again, being on a boat in the middle of the ocean...something kinda appealing there, too.
So: #1,2,3 and #4 :)
Just kidding. The Carribean sounds great to me...then again, I've never been to Cozumel. Sigh. I'll say #3.
But, if everyone would rather do #4 (sans boat), that's ok with me, too. I do like the idea of a cruise, though.

Option #4
Just so you have that website on the blog to refer to, it's: TravelByJen : Travel agency specializing in discount travel and personal service
I vote for #1 but I also vote for Heidi's suggestion. That looked like a smashingly good idea--then again I've ALWAYS wanted to go on a cruise. I can vote for more than one, right? This being a democracy I can do WHATEVER I WANT! I asked my kids today why they were glad they lived in America and my little Emily (who always says the cutest, funniest things) responded that she's glad she doesn't "HAVE to eat ice cream if she doesn't want to!" (A few days ago we asked them to describe their dads and most kids said, "smart" or "nice" or "tall" or other really boring things. Emily said, "Hairy . . . really hairy. . . and he stays in the bathroom a long time with the paper!"
Anyway, I think the other girls all need to post on here. Love you all and miss you like crazy!

Let the democratic process begin...
First Annual WWW (um, that's Wild Women's Weekend, btw...)
Okely Dokely, nieghbors!! I'm getting this cruise planning started...here are some options:
Option 1: Of the continental.com cruises that Amy emailed about a while back (to cozumel and merida, Mexico) there is only one cheap one left, Dec, 1-6 (sat. thru thurs.) and it is $279 per person for double occupancy. There's also an option to add a 3rd or 4th person to the room starting at $179 a person. Now I think that would be more fun than just 2 people per room, plus we could all share the savings. (as long as you single kids are ok with some of us potentially bringing babies that potentially cry at night :) That cruise leaves from Galveston, TX and southwest flies there for about $240-$360 round trip (i checked, Phoenix, Vegas, Omaha and Orlando to get a variety and they're all around there). You can't book travel for Dec. yet but those are the prices for late october flights.
Option 2: A Royal Caribbean cruise to the Bahamas from Miami. It's $259 for 4 days and flights to Miami on southwest are only a little more expensive than to Galveston (who knew?)

Option 3: A 5 day caribbean cruise on Carnival leaving from Jacksonville, Fl. which runs about $260. http://www.carnival.com/Itinerary.aspx?embkCode=JAX&itinCode=KWB&durDays=5&sailDate=10/29/2007&shipCode=CE&sailingID=42560&subRegionCode=BH&rateCode=BCA
Some of you may be wondering why I didn't include any leaving from LA (especially those of you who live within driving distance :) Really, the only cruises leaving from there are to Ensenada/Catalina island or Hawaii. The Ensenada option was what Luke and I did for our honeymoon and frankly it wasn't that interesting. And I'm assuming Hawaii is currently out of everyone's price range :) Too bad, of course.
So, please post your vote in a timely fashion for option 1, 2 or 3. In fact, you have a deadline. Please vote by the end of this week, June 3rd, and we can see which is the most popular. I know many of you can't promise to make it that far ahead of time since schedules and money situations change but trust me, if you're committed to coming and having a rocking good time with your girls, then it'll happen. Remember, if you don't vote, you can't complain about the choice!! Love you all!

I love it!
Hi guys! Well, you know me, from MT, teaching kindergarten in Vegas, tall, eat green peppers on a daily basis, and floss in a weird way (according to Bonnie, at least). Not dating anyone--not interested in anyone either. Don't think I'm being too picky! These guys were the type that either invited me to a baptism for our third date (our 2nd date was walking around the Bass Pro Shop--how exhilarating!) or the type who "usually go to at least sacrament meeting." I mean, it's not like I'm turning down any viable options here! Anyway, you girls know how much I love my job but guess what . . . less than three weeks left. Honestly, I'm already starting to get pretty sad. I absolutely love my kids! I'll log on and tell ya funny stories but now I have to go to bed. This picture was at my birthday party hoe-down. I thought you guys might be interested to see Par's new fiance--isn't she cute!? See if you can find "Waldo" (one of my friends peeking his face through and being silly). Love y'all!
