Lllllllllllllllllllllllladies....
This little post is to get a few opinions from you all...and remember, you can't expect to have a perfect wild women's weekend if you don't let the planner know what you want! So please comment and/or email me!
We decided that Sedona, AZ would be a fantastic place for a getaway since
A. it's got great weather in the spring
B. there's fun shopping AND outdoorsy stuff to do
C. it's BEAUTIFUL and
D. it's close enough to my house that we can really do things on the cheap, if we need to.
On a small budget it gets tricky to have both amazing accomodations and really fun things to do unless you can find a place to stay that's free (like Jess's uncle's place). What I need to know is, would you prefer to stay in a great condo/house with access to a pool, plenty of room to goof around and beautiful scenery right there in Sedona, or do you prefer to spend the majority of our budget on super fun things to do (i.e. jeep tours, rafting, uh...and other fun stuff I haven't checked out yet :)?? I think it would be great either way. We don't necessarily need lots of structured activities to have fun...just ice cream and a chick flick does it for us but it could be a blast to do the whole touristy experience.
There's also a third option...we could stay 2 nights at my house and just have fun lounging about and then spend the entire 3rd day doing crazy outdoor stuff in Sedona. That could potentially be the best of both worlds, but then again you would be sleeping in my basement. :)
Your call girls! Please let me know your preference asap so I can start looking at VRBO rental properties. There are some amazing places available!
I know it's a ways away but I can't WAIT!!!
FYI: I plan on sticking with the previous year's budget of $350 per person since none of you have announced winning the lottery and a couple of you have another mouth to feed. If you start putting it away now, that's just $10 a week, girls!! Make your husband a lunch to take to work a couple of times a week and pocket the savings!! Or, Ames and Emmers, find a stud to take you to lunch twice a week. You might get $350 AND a husband out of it!
Love yas!

Target parking lot and sugar
Shopping and eating and busting a move...
Anthro fitting room...we're wearing probably a collective $3700 in merchandise. Next time let's make a run for the door while the lady's holding the camera...We all got a kick out of the poof on Amy's shirt. A little bird-ish, right? Not sure what Bon's wearing, or how Anthropologie charges that much for some stuff.
Yep, more ice cream...
Much better!
YES! WE EXERCISED!
Hey! We DID get a shot with the city in the background! Kinda looks like we're sitting on a silicon chip...
Now that's better!
More sweat!
More Shopping, Eating...well you get the idea.
After the dance party, before the shopping....Work it girls!!
NO makeup!! AHHH!
3-Dub Getaway 2011

SO I know the awesomeness of 3-Dub Getaway 2010 hasn't been posted in full, but I thought I would just get you all thinking about next year.
Bonnie has kindly volunteered to plan 2011 and she threw out Sedona (see photo).
I know it doesn't get easier each year to get together, but if we can keep this alive, just think of the awesome getaways and amazing girlfriend time we'll have in 10, 20, 30 years??
Those of you that were not there were greatly missed. Not to the extent that we sat around and moped because of your absence...I mean, any combination of two or three of you results in oodles of laughter and a couple pints of Ben & Jerry's, regardless. But, we hope there will be more Wild Women next year.
The date is still TBD, but I know Bonnie will sort that all out soon. Some of the ideas we talked about, in working out details for future:
- The planner should set the date at least 4 months prior to the trip...and finalize it. No wishy-washy changes...it makes getting plane tickets difficult and more expensive, thus pulling some funds from the group activities.
- A commitment to attend must be in place at least 2 months before the trip. As people pull out, it affects the trip planner's ability to budget and plan. Jess did an amazing job this year, so Bon has big shoes to fill...of course, we all knew that Jess had big feet long ago.... ;)
- And there probably was no need for a bulleted list since I only had two points.
Did I miss anything Jess, Lis, and Bon?
Anyway, I cannot wait to see more of the photos hit the blog. Jess...be kind and photoshop my face and body so I look bangin' hot. Granted, I don't think any single boys view the blog, but you never know....
