First annual WWW Dates and Details

Alright! Here it is! The details of our first girly get-together, meticulously planned by yours truly.
I want to let you all know that I took my self-appointed responsibility of organzing this weekend VERY seriously and after weeks of agonizing and deliberating, I realized that it's freaking HARD to come up wih something cheap and doable for us all! After watching me stress out for like forever and a day, my sweet little ol' husband proposed a genius idea. Here it is:

Every year a different wild woman will be in charge of organizing and hosting the WWW at or near their place of residence. This is designed so that each of us:
1) has a chance to show off children/spouses/pets/significant others/kindergarten classrooms/favorite casinos
2) has at least one year when she can plan whatever activities she wants (yes Curl, maybe even camping...perish the thought)
3) can attend the weekend she hosts even if she currently finds herself at a significant financial disadvantage

Now, this by no means that the hostess is limited to staying near her place of residence. When you're in charge, we can go to Cabo if you so desire, BUT be aware that that's probably not going to be a reality for most of us until one of you single girls marries some mega-rich 80-year-old oil tycoon and treats us all :)

I figured this is the cheapest and fairest way to make sure everyone gets involved. As for lodging accomodations, if you have a living room that's big enough for a king sized air mattress, we can all stay for free at the hostesses house! If not, we can stay with one of your relatives, in a cheap hotel close by or whatev. As hostess, however, if you plan for us to stay in a hotel, please try to find the cheapest (sans cockroaches) out there and please try to join us since the late night partying/skinny dipping will be the most fun!

NOW, for 2008. We will be gathering in Phoenix, the weekend of October 8-12 (Wednesday thru Sunday), at my house. October is a perfect time in AZ and I figure most of you have no plans to vacation, etc. during that month. I hope to rent a cabin in nearby Pinetop (a couple hours from my house) for at least 2 of those nights. Plan on coming for as long as is feasible for you. I promise that the cabin cost will not exceed $100 per person (as long as at least 4 of you come!) OK!! Mark your calendars and start checking flights! I'll keep my eyes open as well and let you all know if I see great deals. During the weekend, we will also choose the hostess for next year and agree on a date.

Yo...

Last post was October, huh? By the looks of things, we hardly even love each other anymore! Hopefully you all got the email about California in late summer/early fall. So far only Jess and Curl have responded. Please email me (the bodacious Bon) asap and tell me 1. if you prefer LA or san diego 2. if weeks are a possibility at all or if you can only do a (/n extended) weekend and 3. if there are any week/ends in july/august/september that are for sure OUT. I need to hear from you slackers by Wednesday March 5th! (Totally arbitrary day, mind you, i just know that you're all procrastinators, seeing how we all shared in each other's misery at 2am the night before a college project was due and we still hadn't started :)

As I bragged in my last post, I went to Vermont and went to THE Ben and Jerry's factory! I went on the tour and wished that you all had been there to experience the euphoria of it all with me.

Yes, I have strong feelings about Vermont's Finest.

You're Gonna Be Jealous....

Yes, my dear friends...I'm going to see Vermont's Finest. I'm going to the Ben & Jerry's factory tomorrow to pay homage to the wonderfood that, in college, eased us through difficult times, made late nights worthwhile, and helped add a little more curve to our already curvaceous figures.

Did you know you can buy a "pint cozy" to keep your hands from freezing off while you're consuming 1500+ calories in one sitting?? :) I'd love to get one for you all, but no guarantees. I'm still unemployed.

I'll post pictures and try to taste a different flavor for each and every one of you.

Conference is October 6th and 7th and I agree that our first WWW and maybe others to follow should be planned around something like General Conference.. there will be a time when a cruse will be completely in order, but for now I think for most of us we need to be a little less exotic and a little more infant friendly.
I'm sorry to say I will not be able to attend this general conference WWW as it is I will be due to have a baby the next week and I'm positive the doctor would not allow me to fly 8 hours for a weekend get-a-way. I guess I could just not tell him but I have this great phobia of having a baby without an epidural on an air plane... weird I know.

(Another) Executive Decision

I guess I don't really know if I'm even qualified as an "executive" but until someone disputes it, I'll just keep on being one!

I decree that the thrilling happenings of October General Conference shall be what gathers us girls together for the first official WWW.

Now, I understand that October in Utah may not be exactly what most of you had in mind when we began to plan these...I know it never crossed my mind as a rocking good time. However, I figure that some of us will be there already, may have mission reunions and the like and it will be more of a pull (not to mention easier for many of us) than say, Cabo. Especially for the poor...and I don't mean in spirit. So, let's get together then...I really have no idea what weekend that is so if anyone knows for sure, please post the dates so we can plan. Some of us may have to travel that Friday or Sunday so let's at least plan on spending Saturday night together. We can just do dinner, dessert and yak or maybe find a hotel to split and stay up all night with some B & Js (that would be so much fun! Even if it was Salt Lake! Or, as the Bobseys suggested, maybe Park City??). Anyway, we can figure that out later. So put it on the planners and we'll see you then!!

Utah in May

It's been way too long since this has been updated so I decided to contribute. I wanted to share some pictures of when we went to Utah in May. We had wonderful time. It's nice when you family moved to the place where you already have a lot of friends.

This is Sheryl Jepson (remember Jeff and Sheryl?) and her Daughter Kara (2 since March) and behind her in the car seat is their son Trever(Born in December) (it could be Travis I always get the name wrong) They have the cutest house in Spanish Fork. I'm sitting with Brittany (will be 2 in August) on one side, Katelyn on the other and Dallin on my lap. Ceianna Kato, (remember Keith and Ceianna... oh wait she was kind of dating Scott our freshman year...) She is sitting with Kade (will be 5 in September) and Zoe (3 since March) She just had her 4th in June. she is such a cute mommy! She and Keith live in Orem.

Jessie is bonding with Dallin. I think Dallin stole her keys... he does that sort of thing.
It was great to see Jess while we were in Utah... What a dedicated friend. Someday I will be as cute as Jessica.
